Responding to the Site
Positioned on a challenging waterfront property with neighboring homes on both sides, the residence was carefully configured to maximize privacy while preserving expansive views toward Lake McQueeney. The home's organization creates a sense of seclusion through thoughtful placement of walls, outdoor spaces, and glazing, allowing the architecture to turn inward where privacy is needed and outward where it embraces the lake.
Framing the Lake
The architecture is organized around a series of carefully framed views that celebrate the changing character of the waterfront. Honest Materials
A restrained palette of shou sugi ban wood siding, natural stone, structural steel, and pewter steel windows establishes a durable architectural language rooted in authenticity and craftsmanship.
