Overview

Located on a private ranch in Erath County, Texas, the Lookout Stair Tower is conceived as an architectural folly—a destination within the landscape that celebrates the experience of climbing, pausing, and taking in the surrounding ranch. Formed as a simple cylindrical volume of native limestone, the tower encloses a spiraling steel stair that gradually reveals changing views before arriving at a sheltered perch overlooking the untamed hills and prairie beyond.
