Overview

Located outside of Quitaque, Texas, Quitaque Ranch is envisioned as a private family ranch compound immersed within the rugged landscape of the Texas Caprock. Carefully positioned to embrace sweeping views across mesas, canyons, and open ranchland, the architecture responds directly to the character of its extraordinary setting. A central lodge serves as the heart of the retreat, complemented by detached guest casitas that provide comfortable accommodations for extended family and friends. Together, the buildings establish a timeless ranch compound where architecture and landscape exist in quiet harmony.

Architecture & Landscape

The design is shaped by the dramatic landforms of the Texas Caprock. Positioned to capture expansive views while preserving privacy, the buildings are thoughtfully arranged to create a series of sheltered outdoor spaces that remain connected to the surrounding landscape. Rather than dominating the site, the architecture is intended to feel grounded within it, allowing the scale and beauty of the land to remain the defining experience.
