Overview
Situated along the edge of a private pond at Wellstone Ranch, Wellstone Pavilion is designed as a quiet destination for family and friends to gather while enjoying the surrounding landscape. Elevated above the shoreline, the two-story pavilion frames expansive views across the water and provides a comfortable outdoor setting throughout the year. Constructed from concrete, native stone, structural steel, and warm wood, the pavilion embraces a timeless material palette while creating a memorable place where architecture and nature come together.
Gathering at the Pond
Designed entirely for outdoor living, the pavilion creates a welcoming place to spend time together while overlooking the private pond. A screened porch on the upper level is anchored by a large stone fireplace, providing a comfortable setting for meals, conversation, and quiet evenings throughout the seasons. Positioned above the water, the space celebrates changing light, broad views, and the peaceful character of the surrounding ranch.
A Landmark on the Water
The pavilion serves as both an architectural destination and a quiet landmark within the ranch. Open storage beneath the structure accommodates kayaks and fishing equipment, while the elevated gathering spaces above remain focused on the landscape. The restrained composition of concrete, native stone, structural steel, and wood creates a durable yet refined structure that feels naturally at home along the pond's edge.
